Resident Engineer

Your Role

• You will be Aptiv’s representative at the customer location.
• You will be the first point of contact for the customer engineering teams.
• You will help Aptiv to manage the customer expectations, coordinate requirement elicitation, clarification, testing and issue triaging
• Supporting requirements elicitation and clarification
• Facilitating system testing and resolution of open issues at customer site.
• Acting as an interface between customer and APTIV
• Gathering all additional necessary customer information, e.g. milestone plans, contact persons, prototype needs, etc. for the development team
• Facilitating access to customer specific tools and information systems.
• Supporting the team to provide data to customer specific information systems.
• A Learning Enthusiast to be passionate about learning, follow trends and publications in the market outlining new solutions

Your Background

Key ingredients for succeeding in this role are your:

• B.E. / B. Tech / M.E. / M. Tech in any specialization with an experience of 7 to 12 years
• Should have overall 7 + years’ experience in roles like resident engineering, systems engineering or vehicle testing
• Product Domain knowledge in at least User Experience or ADAS products
• Experience with logging and debugging tools
• Knowledge of Requirement management tools like Polarion, Doors, etc.
• Familiarity with workflow tools like Jira
• Knowledge of automotive electronic systems and their feature functions.
• Knowledge of different vehicle architectures.
• Experience in debugging Electronic systems including common faults, EMI/EMC issues.
• A go-getter, good in communication, challenge ideas to achieve career aspirations aligned with Aptiv mission
