TEAM OVERVIEW:

Applied Materials’ AGS System Engineering team is searching for an intern to join our team in Summer 2026. The intern will join PCBA design team in Santa Clara. Job role is to work on PCBA design and reverse engineer board. Focus is on board debugging / reverse engineering/ designing / simulation of the new design and working on board design.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with team on PCBA design for board design / reverse engineering.
• Work on CPCI protocol for FPGA programming and circuit design
• Designing PCBA in OrCAD using the latest design standards.

REQUIREMENTS/EDUCATION:

• Student must be pursuing a Master's degree program in Electrical or Computer engineering, or related field
• Hands on experience with micro controller / FGPA programming.
• Familiar with Analog design, OrCAD / Altium
• Pspice / Any other circuit simulation software
• Board Design / debugging
• Student must be in good academic standing at their university, with a GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale.

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
