Tainan Display Manufacturing Center
Displays provide a window between people and the information universe. Humans crave information and we live in an era where digital information - entertainment, news, education, social networking, and much more – is readily available. Tainan Display Manufacturing Center (TMC) is the world-class manufacturing facility which lays a strategic role in employing deep display expertise to enable the next generation of displays**.**The fab helps display makers transform their ideas into reality and pave the way for the next generation of displays.
TMC plays a key role in advancing improvements such as image resolution and quality, size increases, and new form factors as the display industry has evolved from CRTs to LCDs, and now to OLED. These innovations, along with reduced costs, have enabled new products and driven the proliferation of displays that create dynamic and stunning visual experiences for consume.
The facility, which occupies about 5.1 hectares includes two cleanrooms and a laboratory. It is located close to customers in the Tainan Science Park, to provide fast support to our display customers throughout Asia.
Key Responsibilities
Import/Export Compliance & Documentation
- Prepare and review import/export documents (e.g., shippers letter of instruction, shipper’s export declaration, import certificate, customs declarations).
- Ensures that commercial and sales invoices are accurate in accordance with physical shipment and customer's shippers letter of instruction, quantities, value of goods, country of origin, and other regulatory requirements
- Ensure shipments comply with international trade regulations, local laws and processed.
- Administers the efficient and economical freight planning.
Data Analysis & Performance Management
- Interpret and present logistics KPIs to management.
- Drive corrective actions and process control improvements.
- Support cost estimation and demand forecasting.
- Monitor spending for adherence to budget
Process Improvement & Project Leadership
- Drive and seek opportunities to introduce automation and technology into the warehouse operations as opportunities to improve quality control, space and labor productivity.
- Improve performance of production output, efficiency metrices and on-time-delivery
- Ascertain industry/warehouse best practices to identify new and/or unique programs.
Quality & Audit Support
- Adhere to QMS procedures and support internal/external audits.
- Manage customer escalations, define problem statements, data analyze and drive corrective actions alongside 3PL and Quality Team.
Claims & Inventory Management
- Handle freight and material claims with suppliers and internal teams.
Requirements:
Experience & Expertise
- Minimum 10 years in transportation operations.
- Familiarity with Taiwan bonded import/export regulations.
- Ability to work independently with moderate guidance
Technical & System Skills
- SAP operational skills preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Excellent English and Chinese written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Proven ability to lead process improvement initiatives.
- Ability to demonstrate a high sense of urgency and is highly adaptable in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
- Capable of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
Leadership & Communication
- Excellent communication and people management skills.
- Ability to lead, delegate, and motivate teams.
