General Profile:
Serves as a senior technical expert in TCADdevice and process simulation**, providing specialized depth in semiconductor device physics and modeling. Works independently and solves complex simulation-driven problems, taking a broad perspective to create innovative modeling solutions that support technology development. Lead focused technical workstreams and mentor junior engineers.**
- Key Responsibilities
- Lead advanced TCAD simulations for devices and processes, enabling predictive modeling across logic, memories and power technologies.
- Support internal modeling and simulation activities, including calibration, validation, and improvement of device and process models.
- Analyze and interpret results from electrical characterization, feeding insights back into simulation workflows and internal development teams.
- Define modeling strategies that connect material properties, process conditions, and device performance.
- Perform data analysis, DOE, and correlation, driving continuous refinement of internal simulation methodologies and accuracy.
- Partner with internal R&D teams to investigate device physics, reliability mechanisms, and technology-process interactions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to less experienced team members on TCAD methodologies, numerical modeling, and simulation best practices.
- Interface with cross-functional teams to support troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and simulation-based problem solving.
- Present key simulation results providing key learning and design suggestion during technical forums, translating complex modeling insights into actionable engineering guidance
- Interfaces with internal and external customers on troubleshooting Applied's product issues

Communicates complex modeling and device‑physics concepts clearly and persuasively. Able to negotiate technical approaches and drive alignment across teams
Education:
Master's degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field (PhD preferred)
Technical Skills:
Strong background in semiconductor device physics and technology development.
Hands-on experience with TCAD device and process modeling (Sentaurus or equivalent).
Solid experience with multiphysics simulation tools (e.g., COMSOL).
Deep Knowledge of semiconductor technologies development and reliability such as GAA/Forksheet/FinFET logic, DRAM, 3D NAND and emerging NVM, and wide bandgap SiC/GaN power devices
Strong data analysis and scripting capabilities (Python, MATLAB).
Experience: 7 - 10 Years
