The Identity Management Services (IdMS) team is a high-impact engineering group behind the core systems that power Apple Account identity across all of Apple's platforms from i Cloud, the App Store, and Apple Music to Apple Pay, Face Time, and the Online Store. We design and build scalable, secure infrastructure that supports billions of user interactions every day.

Description:

Join Apple's Identity Management Services (IdMS) team as a Software Engineer and be part of building the next generation of innovative, high-scale software applications.

We are looking for a passionate and driven engineer with experience in developing and deploying large-scale, high-demand systems.

In this role, you'll be involved in the full software development lifecycle-from architecture and design to implementation, testing, and maintenance. You will contribute to developing new product features, enhancing existing functionality, and driving performance and code quality improvements.

As part of the IdMS team, you'll collaborate closely with cross-functional partners, including business stakeholders, engineering peers, QA teams, product managers, and human interface designers. This is an opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where your contributions directly impact millions of Apple users around the world.

Preferred Qualifications:

Skilled in designing and developing distributed systems and microservices architectures.

Expert in application development, Core Java, JEE, multi-threaded programming, object-oriented design principles, and RESTful APIs.

Proficient in building mobile-responsive web applications with strong cross-browser compatibility.

Strong knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS for data-driven web development.

Well-versed in software engineering best practices, including design patterns and enterprise architecture.

Solid understanding of enterprise systems architecture and efficient data structures.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.

Demonstrated ownership and accountability in successful project delivery.

Minimum Qualifications:

5+ years of hands-on experience in application development.

5+ years in Core Java, JEE, and multi-threaded programming and object-oriented design principles.

5+ years experience in APIs and HTTP(S) and RESTful architectures.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related engineer degree.

Pay & Benefits:

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,100 and $318,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You'll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses - including tuition.
