Senior Precision Modeling Engineer:
Location: Limerick, Ireland
Job Description
ADI’s Software & Digital Platforms (SDP) organization is seeking a hardware engineer to develop models for ADI’s Precision Studio design tool.
In this role, you’ll translate ADI precision product behavior for data converters and precision signal chains into robust simulation models that accelerate customers’ design cycles and improve first-pass design success.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain behavioral/compact models for precision components (ADCs, DACs, references, amplifiers, precision signal chains)
- Translate datasheet specifications and measured characterization into parametric, scalable models
- Define and execute model validation plans against silicon and golden reference benches
- Package models for Precision Studio with metadata and application examples
- Collaborate with software teams for integration, version control, and automated tests
- Triage and fulfill customer model requests and create reference designs
- Partner with cross-functional teams to capture device behavior
- Drive modeling standards and documentation best practices
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 3+ years experience in precision analog/mixed-signal design, modeling, or applications
- Strong understanding of ADC/DAC behavior and precision signal-chain components
- Ability to interpret datasheets and characterization data into model behavior
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field
- Depth in converter modeling including nonlinearity, noise, timing, and drift
- Experience modeling supply dependencies
- Experience with JavaScript
- Experience with Git or similar version control tools
- Familiarity with model validation automation and CI workflows
- Experience creating customer-facing example circuits or design content
