The Group :

The charter of ADI’s Custom Silicon & Consumer Solutions (CSS) team is to lead the market across a range of exciting technology domains with highly differentiated sensing & signal processing and Power solutions. Today these technology areas include Capacitive Sensing, Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), Optical Sensing, Audio, PMIC and hybrid mixed-signal/power developments which drive major growth in our portable Consumer business.

The Position:

As a Technician 4 in Test Engineering for Product Development, you’ll play a key role supporting engineers in the development, validation, and release of consumer semiconductor products. Your hands-on expertise in test hardware, equipment, and troubleshooting will help ensure product quality, reliability, and timely project execution.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate and monitor automated or manual test equipment for testing semiconductor devices, following detailed instructions and engineering procedures.
  • Support engineers on their device evaluation, characterization, customer samples and qualification on the ATE or bench set-ups. Include reject verification, address set-up issues and accurately record/report test results.
  • Support debugging of test hardware; assist in test solution bring up, and release to manufacturing.
  • Manage inventory of lab tools, components, and supplies.
  • Provide logistic support in engineering needs in the laboratory and in engineering systems.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of test processes, safety, and work practices.

Relevant Skills:

  • 6+ years of experience in test engineering, electronics lab, or related technical role (semiconductor industry preferred)
  • Strong teamwork, inter-personal and communication skills.
  • Knowledgeable of Analogue and Digital Electronics.
  • Background in board-rework is an edge.
  • Background on prober set-up is an edge.
  • Background in any SPEA, microflex and NI tester is an edge.

Education:

  • Graduate of Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electronics Engineering Technology, Mechatronics Engineering Technology, and Industrial, Automation, and Control Engineering Technology

  • For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S.

Department of Commerce:

  • Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S.

Department of State:

  • Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. As such, applicants for this position – except US Citizens, US Permanent Residents, and protected individuals as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) – may have to go through an export licensing review process.
