ABOUT THE ROLE:

Role Description:

As the SAP Senior Integration Developer, you will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of advanced integration solutions within the Global Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) landscape, ensuring seamless and secure data exchange across internal and external systems. In this role, you will be responsible for architecting robust and scalable integration frameworks, leveraging SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) Integration Suite, API management, and intelligent automation to drive business efficiencies and innovation.

You will take ownership of the migration of integrations from legacy SAP ECC and other SAP systems to SAP S/4HANA, overseeing all technical aspects and ensuring alignment with the organization’s strategic objectives. This is an opportunity to apply deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA integration and modern integration technologies, shaping the future integration architecture while contributing significantly to our organization’s digital transformation journey. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including solution architects and business leaders, to deliver high-performance, scalable solutions that meet current and future business needs.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Enhancing Amgen’s integration strategy, design principles, and roadmap for both on-premise and cloud ERP applications, utilizing SAP integration technologies such as SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI), SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), and SAP Process Orchestration (PO).

• Developing, configuring, and deploying SAP integration solutions, including the migration to SAP S/4HANA by leveraging tools like SAP CPI, PO, and advanced API management to ensure robust, scalable, and secure integration processes.

• Collaborating with Solution Architects, technical teams, and business partners to design and implement secure, high-performance integration solutions that meet technical and business requirements.

• Gathering and aligning technical requirements with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with integration best practices, including the use of secure communication protocols like OAuth 2.0, PGP encryption, and robust API governance.

• Defining and monitoring operational procedures to ensure the availability and performance of integration components, including the use of automated monitoring solutions and troubleshooting for integration interfaces and data exchanges between SAP systems and external platforms.

• Designing and configuring new interfaces using SAP CPI, SAP PO, and other middleware tools, ensuring adherence to security standards such as authentication, encryption, and performance optimization to meet project requirements.

• Reviewing and maintaining integration solutions to ensure changes are appropriately managed within the ERP landscape, with proper version control, change management, and adherence to governance processes.

• Establishing and maintaining governance processes and integration standards for interface developments, ensuring consistent high-quality deliverables while aligning with SAP S/4HANA integration best practices.

• Driving the adoption of modern SAP BTP capabilities, including API management, Event Mesh, and intelligent automation, to create a future-proof and scalable integration landscape.

• Ensuring adherence to integration guidelines for ERP systems, supporting the “Clean Core” ERP strategy by promoting API-led connectivity and minimizing custom code, while aligning with the organization’s vision for SAP S/4HANA transformation.

Functional Skills:

Must-Have Skills:

• Deep proficiency in SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI), SAP Process Orchestration (PO), and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) for architecting and delivering complex integration solutions between SAP and non-SAP systems in a global enterprise environment.

• Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA integration processes, including connecting SAP with third-party applications such as SAP Ariba, Concur, Fieldglass, leveraging API management, middleware, and other advanced integration technologies.

• In-depth understanding of security standards such as OAuth 2.0, PGP encryption, and certificate-based authentication to ensure secure, compliant data transmission across integrated systems.

• Extensive knowledge of RESTful APIs, SOAP, OData, and other web service technologies, with a proven ability to design, implement, and govern API management solutions that ensure seamless data exchange and system interoperability.

• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues, optimize performance, and implement robust error handling and monitoring solutions to maintain the stability and efficiency of integration processes.

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Strong familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for cloud-based integrations, with a deep understanding of cloud security, architecture, and integration patterns across hybrid environments.

• In-depth knowledge of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) services, including API management, Event Mesh, and intelligent automation, to design scalable, cutting-edge integration solutions that drive business innovation.

• Comprehensive understanding of Agile/DevOps practices and experience in managing CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and delivery, with hands-on expertise in tools such as Jenkins, Git, Jira, and automated deployment practices to streamline integration development and delivery processes.

Professional Certifications:

• SAP Certified Integration Suite Professional

• Agile Certified Practitioner

Basic Qualifications and Experience:

Doctorate degree OR

Master’s degree in computer science or STEM majors and 4 to 6 years of IT or related field experience OR

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or STEM majors and 6 to 8 years of IT or related field experience OR

Diploma in computer science or STEM majors and 10 to 12 years of IT or related field experience
