The B2B Payments team provides invoicing, working capital and payment acceptance solutions to Amazon Business customers, sellers and other small business customers across Amazon. The B2B Payments Credit Strategy team is looking for a Sr. Risk Manager to oversee credit performance for the UK & EU Lending portfolios. The successful candidate will be a thought leader who can help build and scale a best-in-class credit program. This candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end risk strategy to drive growth and solve business challenges to support customer capital needs while staying within risk tolerances. In this role, the candidate will work with Science, Product, and Tech teams to drive credit policy changes and evolve automated decisioning and credit monitoring systems. The ideal candidate should possess strong program management skills, be highly analytical, resourceful, customer focused and team oriented, with strong communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders. This is an individual contributor role and reports into Head of EU Credit Strategy.

Key job responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of this role includes, but are not limited to:

  • Managing end-to-end credit strategy across the customer lifecycle
  • Partner with Science and Product Managers to design new product features, define model rule sets, and evolve automated credit decisioning
  • Bring fresh thinking, constantly improve, and be a thought leader for a credit strategy and risk management
  • Identify, monitor and communicate on the right performance metrics to Sr. Leadership, while owning business goals
  • Identify innovation opportunities and drive experiments that provide customers with a great payment experience
  • Own relationships with multiple stakeholder teams

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience in advanced SQL & ability to write complex queries from scratch
  • Experience engaging and influencing senior leaders, demonstrating a strong familiarity with navigating layered decision making processes
  • Experience that demonstrates strong analytical skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and independent decision making

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree
  • Experience in internal audit and risk management or equivalent
