Do you have a passion for aviation and innovation? Amazon Air operates a global air cargo network with a fleet of over 100 cargo aircraft serving more than 70 airports in North America, Europe, and Asia. The team is comprised of leaders with in-depth experience of the Amazon supply chain and/or aviation operations who are committed to optimizing the Amazon Air network to drive fast, low-cost delivery for our customers.
We’re looking for a Senior Supply Chain Manager, Global Carrier Commercials to oversee all areas of strategy, contract, and payment with one or more of Amazon Air's most important air carrier partners.
This leader will oversee several $100 million in spend, understand and resolve commercial disputes, lead analysis for contract negotiations, and build long-term focused business development strategies. They will conduct analyses to identify and recommend business improvement opportunities, standardize cost methodologies across organizations, and lead commercial alignment by leveraging business expertise and data.
- Key job responsibilities
- Analyze and audit several $100 million in flying spend, in full alignment with governance, risk, and compliance processes
- Oversee all air carrier contract drafting, approvals, and related questions, acting as the source of truth on all commercial matters
- Partner with key stakeholders to lead, support, and influence across Amazon Air to enhance air carrier performance and lower cost-to-serve
- Build strong partnerships with air carriers on commercial, operational, technical, and sustainability initiatives to identify and eliminate constraints
- Advise and communicate clearly to senior leadership on air carrier costs and commercial dispute resolutions
- Navigate through ambiguity to manage and deliver results on multiple commercial subjects simultaneously
About the team
Global Carrier Commercials is accountable for all elements of air carrier strategy, contracts, and payments across Amazon Air's global network of air carrier partners - in the US, Canada, Europe, India, and Latin America.
This team rolls up to the broader Fleet, Aviation Sourcing, and Technical organization, which integrates fleet management, carrier commercials, maintenance planning, and business intelligence to implement a comprehensive global cargo network strategy by driving partner performance and innovation to enhance safety, reduce carbon emissions, and expand faster lower-cost delivery.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field
- 7+ years of working with external suppliers experience
- 7+ years of negotiations/cost savings, supplier excellence, and risk mitigation experience
- 7+ years of developing diverse supplier strategies and executing on sourcing activities experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree, or Master's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field
- 4+ years of international airline or logistics experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
