This role involves designing and implementing controls architecture for automated material handling systems, programming PLCs, and leading projects from concept through commissioning. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize system performance while driving continuous improvement in reliability, throughput, and safety.

  • Design, develop, and implement controls architecture for automated material handling systems.
  • Program, configure, and troubleshoot PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and industrial controllers for factory automation systems
  • Lead controls engineering projects from concept through commissioning, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure
  • Develop and maintain controls documentation including electrical schematics, I/O lists, and programming standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, software developers, and operations to optimize system performance
  • Troubleshoot complex automation systems and provide technical support to operations teams
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability, throughput, and safety
  • Support the installation, testing, and commissioning of new automation equipment
  • Ensure all controls systems comply with safety standards and regulatory requirements

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related fields

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of PLC/SCADA integration experience, or Master's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, engineering technology or equivalent
