Amazon Devices and Services Fintech is the global team that designs and builds the financial planning and analysis tools for wide variety of Amazon’s new and established organizations. From Kindle to Ring and even new and exciting companies like Kuiper (our new interstellar satellite play) this team enjoys a wide variety of complex and interesting problem spaces. They are almost like Fin Tech consultants embedded in Amazon.

As a Technical Program Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, scoping, and delivering end to end projects. You will be comfortable working across time zones and through ambiguity. You thrive through building consensus and driving teams towards results. You will anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints. An ability to take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces to deliver them in a successful and timely manner. Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent and leadership are essential to success in this role.

Key job responsibilities
Unblock technical issues by pulling together the multi-functional technical expertise to resolve issues
Develop, track, & communicate project schedules and achievements
Drive project execution, develop project plans, make technical trade-offs, manage risks, track and report on status, and resolve blocking issues
Establish goals and metrics to identify opportunities to deliver customer solutions to meet cost, performance and schedule requirements.
Drive Risk Infrastructure, Operational Excellence initiative with leadership, SDMs
Work closely with SDMs, cross team to come up with process streamline initiatives, OE dashboard, Risk and compliance related project across Devices Fintech org

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 2+ years of software development experience
  • 3+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
