We’re looking for an engineer with deep expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining large databases, data warehouses and data lakes.

What does it take to succeed in this role?
You need to be creative, responsible, and able to dive deep into emerging technologies. You need to take the lead on the design, implementation, and successful delivery of large-scale, significantly complex, or critical database solutions with a long-term impact on a product, technology and architecture. Your work demonstrates significant creativity and high judgment. Your solutions benefit the software and database communities at large. Your designs not only meet business requirements, but have also prove to be robust, stable, scalable, and adaptable over time. You are accountable for the quality of architecture, design & implementation of your systems. You are an active consultant to the software teams and data science teams in your organization. You leverage knowledge of internal and industry prior art in your design decision. You effectively research and benchmark our technology against other competing systems in the industry.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering experience
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
• Experience with SQL
• Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS
• Experience mentoring team members on best practices
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, IT or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with big data technologies such as: Hadoop, Hive, Spark, EMR
• Experience operating large data warehouses
