We are currently seeking an experienced Content Acquisition Manager to join our DACH Prime Video licensing team. Working alongside senior team members, you will support the execution of local content acquisition strategies with independent producers and distributors, TV network groups, and other content partners across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, covering a variety of business models, including flat fee licensing, pay for performance, and more. You will participate in negotiations and collaborate with content owners across the DACH region to help develop new business models and deliver results for both our stakeholders and customers.
This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in content negotiations while contributing analytical insights and learning from experienced acquisition leaders across the DACH region. You will partner with the team to evaluate content opportunities, support deal execution, and help drive engagement and value for Prime Video customers throughout Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

Key job responsibilities

Support the negotiation and execution of DACH SVOD content licensing agreements on behalf of Prime Video with independent producers and distributors, TV network groups, and other partners across various business models, including flat fee licensing, pay per hour/pay for performance, and more.

Assist in managing content licensing selection and mix across multiple content categories, working closely with senior team members to optimize portfolio composition.

Analyze data on customer behavior, usage and consumption to provide insights that inform decision-making for content acquisition and help identify new content genres for customers across the DACH region.

Internally, contribute to content acquisition plans, financial metrics, and goals for senior management by providing analytical support and performance tracking.

Externally, help establish and maintain strong relationships with content providers across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, supporting senior team members in partner engagement.

Develop a deep understanding of financial analysis, content performance forecasting, and technical requirements for video uploads and delivery to effectively support deal evaluation and execution.

Collaborate with internal teams across all functional areas within Prime Video to support content strategies and execute content licensing agreements (e.g., legal, finance, marketing, etc.).

Maintain a can-do attitude and willingness and flexibility to solve problems at short notice, using any tools necessary. This is a hands-on role that will work with cross-functional teams to support the whole licensing process end-to-end (from discovery and evaluation to actual launch).
A day in the life
Your day-to-day activities to achieve measurable results will include the following:
- Understanding the acquisition process, supporting sourcing, evaluating and launching film and TV to reach Prime Video’s goals
- Supporting all aspects of the content acquisition process, including building analytical models to show value from titles, analyzing results to drive improvements and collaboration with internal teams on processes to manage content and contracts internally (marketing, public relations, finance, accounting, operations, publishing etc.)
- Understand and set targets for the performance of your content category within Prime Video
Basic Qualifications
- Past experience in TV/Film/Streaming industry
- Ability to translate business problems into analytical tasks and communicate results back to a business audience
- Knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Google docs and sheets
- Ability to dive into data and identify useful patterns to solve problems
- Ability to use and modify data tables
- Fluent in English and German
Preferred Qualifications
- Significant experience in negotiating contracts
- Good know-how of German entertainment landscape
- Good interpersonal skills and client facing attitude
