Work hard. Have fun. Make history.
Senior Manager, Inbound Transportation, ATS (Amazon Transp. Services)
Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) Brazil operates one of the most complex and fast-growing
Middle Mile networks in Latin America. Our network connects Fulfillment Centers, Sort Centers,
Inbound Cross-Docks (IXD), and Delivery Stations across the country — moving millions of packages
every week through surface, air, and multimodal transportation lanes. Our leaders navigate this complexity with data-driven rigor, operational discipline, and a relentless focus on the
customer promise.
In ATS Brazil, we are building the next generation of inbound surface operations — encompassing
Transshipment, IXD (Inbound Cross-Dock) and We Pay, and the integration of
inbound flows with the broader Middle Mile network. The leader in this role will be at the center of
that transformation.
Key job responsibilities
We are seeking a Senior Manager, Inbound Transportation to lead the Inbound
mile function within ATS Brazil, based at GRU8 in Cajamar, São Paulo. This is a senior leadership role
with full ownership of the Inbound Transportation strategy and operations — encompassing
Transshipment, IXD, We Pay and the integration of inbound flows with the broader Middle Mile
network. The Inbound mile is a critical and rapidly evolving pillar of ATS Brazil. The leader in this role will be responsible for solving the most complex transportation challenges in the network: balancing
inbound demand against constrained capacity, ensuring carrier safety and regulatory compliance
across hundreds of lanes, protecting the customer delivery promise (DEA), and defining the strategic
roadmap that will shape how Amazon Brazil scales its inbound surface network over the next three
to five years. This role requires a leader who operates at both the strategic and tactical level — contributing to the longer-term ATS Brazil direction while remaining close enough to the details to drive accountability for execution quality, safety outcomes, and network performance.
A day in the life
Define and own the multi-year Inbound Transportation strategy for ATS Brazil, setting the direction for Transshipment, IXD, We Pay programs and translating long-term network objectives
into actionable, sequenced annual operating plans
Lead strategic planning processes (OP1/OP2) for inbound operations, articulating resource
requirements, investment priorities, and headcount plans in alignment with ATS Brazil and WW ATS
leadership. Deploy strategy through structured execution mechanisms — ensuring that 3-year roadmap objectives cascade into quarterly milestones, weekly team priorities, and individual accountability frameworks.
Serve as the voice of inbound operations in senior forums, presenting business reviews, strategic
proposals, and risk assessments to leadership with the clarity and rigor expected at the executive level
Influence technology and product roadmaps by identifying automation and tooling opportunities
(capacity management, demand forecasting, shipment visibility) that enable the inbound program
to scale without proportional headcount growth
Transportation Challenges & Network Demand Balancing, lead peak readiness planning (Prime Day, Black Friday, Q4) for inbound lanes, including scenario planning, buffer strategies, and capacity execution playbooks aligned with E2E network
requirements, Partner with Sort Centers, Fulfillment Centers, AMZL, ROC (Relay Operations Center), TOM, Finance, and Procurement to ensure inbound flows are integrated, efficient, and aligned with network
capacity plans across all miles, champion a safety-first culture across all inbound transportation operations — ensuring the safety
of drivers, Amazon personnel, service providers, and the general public is the primary consideration
in all operational and strategic decisions, Govern inbound carrier performance through structured WBR/MBR/QBR mechanisms, holding
carriers accountable to OTA, tender acceptance rate, execution rate, and APP compliance metrics
Team Leadership & Talent Development:
Build and develop a high-performing team of Program Managers and Transportation Specialists,
acting as a manager of managers — creating individual development plans, establishing succession
pipelines, and raising the bar on talent across the organization
