Amazon's Appstore Platform services are highly available, mission critical services, handling a very large number of transactions and having a direct impact on the customer experience. Appstore software excellence vision is to promptly address end customer issues and reduce cost of doing business. Our long range plan is to advance to a product care team which can own legacy business/stack end to end to reduce cost of doing business and purpose bulk of investment towards new Appstore initiatives.
As part of our vision the team is working on migrating the existing services to a new infrastructure to more easily manage capacity, scale fleets up and down, lower time spent on operations, lower costs, latency improvements in Android / FOS and gain access to newer AWS features.
This role involves working closely with our senior SDEs and principal engineers to design, develop and move to the new setup.

Our System Development Engineers (Sys DeVs) use latest technology to solve complex problems and get to see the impact of their work first-hand.

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about building and maintaining latest software and optimizing services while managing ambiguity and the pace of a company where development cycles are measured in days (with AI on run), not weeks and months. Knowledge on Android OS is an advantage.

Basic Qualifications
- Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
- Experience with Linux/Unix
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with distributed systems at scale
