We are looking for recent graduates from different disciplines interested in developing their professional career in the aeronautical sector. The current context demands different ways of looking, thinking and relating.
The selection process will be during April 2026 until July 2026.What does this internship consists in?
Together with Camilo José Cela University, Airbus has developed an exclusive program (Discover) designed for those interested in the best training in new areas of knowledge essential to be able to develop as professionals of the future.

Internship Job Description:
For Spain perimeter we will focus on the following ones:
-
EMH / Electromagnetics Hazards and Lightning and Electrostatic protection
-
Safety and Reliability of the A/C
-
Software quality assurance of systems / equipments
-
Configuration Management (ensure the right process and traceability for all the modifications carried out in each aircraft delivered)
-
Manufacturing Engineering (Industrialization
-
Provide engineering assessment & monitor in the system development to ensure the right maturity at the delivery of the aircraft and in service operation).
A more detailed description of the tasks to be involved within the department of Electromagnetic Hazards (EMH):
-
you will sketch the sizing of the MBN (Metallic Bonding Network). (Lightning current flow and spurious fault current due to equipment failure)
-
As the A/C is made of Carbon material (CFRP), a bonding network is needed. This bonding network has several functions, the most important being a path for fault currents.
-
Sizing the MBN requires a knowledge of the electrical loads of the A/C, but also how the electrical protection of generators works.
-
In this case you will make use of multiphysics: electrical equations to calculate the power that needs to be dissipated and thermal equations for ensuring the CFRP is not damaged when dissipating that power.
-
You may also participate in tests to validate the developed model with the opportunity to improve it.
The main knowledge that the apprentice will take can be summarized:
-
Basic knowledge of the structural components of the different aircraft parts. More in depth knowledge will be tail cone, wing and belly fairing.
