Definition VIE
The Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) program is an international program sponsored by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment, open to Airbus to offer young professionals the opportunity to have valuable paid work experience abroad in a technical or business function. We are looking for highly motivated graduates aged 18 to 28 years, who are citizens of the European Union (all E.U. nationals, plus Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein). Candidates meeting these criteria and interested in a VIE, please register before your 28th birthday on the website www.civiweb.com. For graduates who would be interested in a career with Airbus, this could be the start of a rewarding future in a dynamic and forward-thinking sector.
Your location
At our Donauwörth site, located on the banks of the river Danube, we develop helicopters from the initial idea to the airworthy product. Watch them take off and touch down on our own on-site test airfield.

Your tasks and responsibilities
Working within the Flight Safety network, you will contribute to the quality monitoring of all customer support activities in a world-leading, digital-focused environment.
In a mechanical assembly and aircraft maintenance environment, your main tasks will include:

Risk assessment: severity estimation and probability computation.

Predictive risk mapping and predictive risk analysis.

Analysis of RETEX (Return on Experience) from Airbus Helicopters (France & Germany) incidents.

Creation of safety promotion documents such as Lessons Learnt and Best practices.
Desired skills and qualifications
-
Educated to degree level (Master's/Bac +5) in Functional Safety or a related discipline
-
A first experience in the aeronautical industry would be a plus
-
IT Tools: Proficiency within the Google Suite and Data management

Analytical mind, relational ease, and knowledge of human and organizational factors
-
Fluent level in English; an Intermediate level in German would be beneficial
