In order to support Manufacturing Engineering, Airbus Helicopters is looking for a

VIE Manufacturing Engineering Process Optimisation (d/f/m)

Definition VIE

The Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) program is an international program sponsored by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment, open to Airbus to offer young professionals the opportunity to have valuable paid work experience abroad in a technical or business function. We are looking for highly motivated graduates aged 18 to 28 years, who are citizens of the European Union (all E.U. nationals, plus Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein).

Your location

At our Donauwörth site, located on the banks of the river Danube, we develop helicopters from the initial idea to the airworthy product. Watch them take off and touch down on our own on-site test airfield.

Your tasks and responsibilities

Nonconformities:

  • Handling of design nonconformities on components or assemblies, both internally and externally at the center or in the FAL (Final Assembly Line): implementing the repair solution defined by the engineering office, checking inventory, and, if necessary, processing or scrapping parts.

  • Handling of received design nonconformities and external supplier nonconformities.

  • Industry liaison on the Screening Board for NCM (Non Conformity Management) and i Delivery management for 3.2 actions.

  • i Delivery management for non-conformity tasks related to engineering issues.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Submitting suggestions for work improvements from production.

  • Resolve technical issues that lead to recurring time or cost losses, and develop corrective, remedial, and preventive measures.

  • Organize the workplace with regard to ergonomics, safety, and process improvement.

  • Facilitate sustainable problem-solving.

Additional Activities:

  • Prepare and manage concessions for design-related issues.

  • Improve and maintain tools (production equipment).

  • Support supply chain quality management by providing information, data, reports, etc., for further NC management.

Desired skills and qualifications

  • Completed degree in aeronautical engineering or equivalent.

  • Strong customer oriented, organized, structured, rigorous and dynamic mindset.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Proactive, goal oriented, and independent work.

  • High degree of customer focus.

  • Familiarity with CATIA or SAP would be nice to have.

  • Strong teamwork skills.

  • Fluent in English, German is a plus.
