AIG Underwriting teams help to find insurance solutions in areas including Financial Lines, Property, Casualty, Specialty Lines, Cyber, and Multinational Clients. How you will create an impact

• Performs underwriting, marketing and other duties.

• Underwriting of new business / renewals from Agents/ Brokers / Cedants in accordance to underwriting authority & guidelines.

• Focused on insurance and Facultative Reinsurance placements.

• Understanding of multinational insurance programs.

• Day to day servicing of existing portfolio.

• Develop Agents / Brokers / Cedant relationships to produce business opportunities and build on the Company profile in the market.

• Achieve budget across areas of responsibility, both top line and bottom line.

• Put up referrals to support underwriting decisions and actions.

• Takes personal responsibility for career development and proactively keep up to date with industry and business issues.

• Prioritize workload to achieve internal and external deadlines.

• Maintain / create market relationship with intermediaries.

• Co-ordinate with support teams for timely delivery of quotations, documents & reports.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Proven experience in underwriting Property products.

• Broad knowledge of the insurance industry

• Proficient in Microsoft Office

• Good team player with excellent interpersonal skill

• Well established relationships in the market

• Knowledge of insurance and Facultative Reinsurance placements

• Understanding of multinational insurance programs

• Ability to analyze data to make accurate assessment of risk

• Self-motivated and uses own initiative for both internal and external issues

• Capabilities to maintain a flexible approach in a changing work environment

• Analytical individual with strong business acumen

• Strong negotiation skills
