The Opportunity
Firefly Engineering is building the next generation of AI-native creative experiences across Adobe. We operate like a fast-moving startup inside Adobe—rapid iterations, bold bets, and obsessively high product quality. Our charter is to bring modern generative AI and advanced language model capabilities directly into the hands of millions of creators.
We are looking for a Software Engineer who can build reliable and highly available back end services. You’ll work across backend, and AI orchestration layers—connecting Firefly and 3rd Party models to empower Adobe's flagship products create seamless, high-impact customer workflows.
What you'll Do
- Build scalable and reliable cloud services with observability, logging, and tracing to enable quick detection, understanding, and resolution of run-time issues
- Find opportunities for system improvements and successfully implement updates.
- Responsible for design and architecture of new services and features
- Work with all the partners - client teams and Product managers, be responsible for all phases of engineering. From early specs, design/architecture, technology choice, development, unit-testing/integration automation, and deployment.
- Be well versed in emerging industry technologies and trends, and have the ability to communicate that knowledge to the team and use it to influence product direction.
- Orchestrate with team to develop a product or parts of a large product.
What you need to succeed
- B. Tech and/or M. Tech in Computer Science with an excellent academic record, or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in designing and building backend systems.
- Demonstrated expertise in software development, with strong proficiency in Python.
- Experience working with cloud platforms and building scalable microservices architectures.
- Solid understanding of server-side technologies and familiarity with tools and frameworks such as REST APIs, Redis, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Exposure to AI/ML integration, model deployment, or workflow orchestration is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of growing when working in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated individual with a passion for learning new technologies and adapting quickly to evolving requirements.
