The Opportunity

The Adobe Litigation team handles worldwide litigations filed by and against the company, and advises the business on litigation risks. We are a close-knit and collaborative team, and are seeking a hardworking, positive, and high-energy litigator to join us. You will manage cases with the assistance of outside counsel, and will have the opportunity to learn about nearly every aspect of our company.

What You'll Do

This attorney will be working on managing a variety of litigation matters, with a primary focus on patent and IP litigation. The successful candidate must be prepared to work in a team environment, provide counsel to internal clients, and assist with a variety of intellectual property, commercial, and privacy law issues.

What you need to succeed

  • Must have a JD from an accredited law school
  • 8-9 years’ experience conducting and/or managing complex commercial litigation focused on software and/or cloud-based companies.
  • Patent litigation experience
  • Prior in-house experience is valued, but not required.
  • Ability to exercise common sense to provide both practical and theoretical advice; must be a creative problem solver and have good business instincts.
  • Candidate must possess a sense of humor and enjoy working on a team and with people at all levels in the organization.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A commitment to providing clients with high quality and timely legal advice, and flexibility to tackle different types of products and services and related work.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several  U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $138,300 -- $273,200 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

In California, the pay range for this position is $188,700 - $273,200

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC base commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans.  Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
