Division: Electrification business in Smart Power division
Your Role and Responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to support engineering activities in all types of project sizes and complexities, under the supervision of senior engineers. Each day, you will complete the tasks cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards. You will also showcase your expertise by collecting data and supporting production of the engineering design.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Reviewing of Customer specifications, commercial/technical documents, product requirements. Identifying and defining preliminary scope of work for Switchgear and its associated components that fits the Customer specifications.
- Preparing Bills of Materials, Layout Drawings, Single line Drawings, Cable Scheduling and Specifying Review documents based on the best judgement of the Engineer.
- Collaborating with Engineers within the Business Unit to generate technical solutions for the ABB MNS product.
- Preparing set of Electrical Drawings
- General Arrangement, SLD, Typical Wiring, detailed drawings.
- Expertise in Switchgear Product Standardization and IEC Standards. Expertise and understanding of Fault level calculations and Switchgear ratings, protection philosophy and components selection of LV Switchgear.
- Preparing Customer-facing Closeout / As built documents for the complete scope of work. Engage in Customer discussions by supporting the Project Management and Sales teams.
- Preparing the Change Order documents to support Project Management.
- Work closely with the Project Management team for an efficient and effective Execution of the project from the Bid Phase to the Project execution to handover phase.

Qualifications for the Role
- You are immersed in design function in switchgear industry
- You have 5 to 8 years of experience in designing of Low Voltage Switchgear (design and application of electrical power distribution / Motor control center)
- Ability to analyze customer's technical documentation to interpret and apply appropriate ABB product offerings to meet the customer's expectations in efficient and timely manner, offer alternative solutions to optimize profitability while meeting customer needs.
- Experience with Electrical and 2D Layout drawing tools such as EPLAN Electric P8, Auto Cad, etc
- Knowledge of relay Protection & Control schemes, schematics, communication network diagrams
- Degree in Electrical engineering from reputed university (should be full-time)
- Excellent communications skills to optimally and accurately connect with internal and external customers
