Role Overview

Reports to: Project Manager, PAEN

Work Model: Onsite

Location: Qatar

• Contributing to the Projects and Services of PAEN

This role offers the opportunity to act as the technical lead for all engineering activities in assignments. Each day, you will ensure the activities related to all engineering disciplines within the project are executed in an efficient and cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by acting as a design authority for a particular engineering discipline and completing the corresponding engineering assignments.

Responsibilities

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Collaborating on project installation, commissioning, and site activities, to clarify potential issues or provide solutions to rectify the engineering errors
• Coaching the project engineers and designers on the translation of conceptual designs to engineering documentation, including modelling, prototyping, and calculations
• Leading, supervising, and coordinating teams (less than 10 members) in all engineering disciplines (both in-house and outsourced) on projects
• Applying design thinking or design for excellence concepts in projects, including modelling, prototyping, simulation, and calculations

Qualifications

Education & Core Requirements

• Graduate Engineer in Electrical / Electronic / Instrumentation Engineering
• Immersed in / engaged in / absorbed in / highly skilled in / enjoy working with 800xA, AC800M, AC800M HI, Infi90 and Symphony systems
• Experience in Oil & Gas / Power & Water market

Experience

• Minimum 12 years of experience
• At least 8 years as customer support / project / service engineer of System 800xA based 800M / 800mHI / Infi90 / Symphony systems
• Preferably in Oil & Gas / Power & Water industry
• Good hands-on experience as Project Lead for system 800xA based control system (both hardware and software) with 9800M / nfi90 / symphony Plus / system 800xA-based application development – project & commissioning
• Hands on experience in system installation and maintenance

Technical Skills & Experience

• Multidiscipline support
• Effective utilization of service contracts
• Working in service projects and major projects for system 800xA based ICSS
• Team lead experience with 5 to 10 virtual reports as per project execution organogram (No line management)
• Rendering technical validation of design solutions in medium and complex projects
• Hands on experience in Industrial networking and network switch configuration
• Hands on experience in Cyber security solutions for 800xA systems
• Able to do cybersecurity audits and assessments
• Cyber security implementation experience
• Hands on experience in industrial communication protocols like Modbus-RTU & TCP, OPC
• Hands on experience in offshore installed base
