This Position reports to: Quality Supervisor
Responsibilities
- Inspect and troubleshoot any defects or discrepancies in conformity
- Assist other QC Personnel, Operators, Assemblers, etc. when quality questions arise
- Perform inspections using measurement tooling (calipers, gauges, meters, etc.)
- Train other employees as well as participate in additional training
- Inspect, examine, and observe for product or equipment defects
- Cross Training will be expected and required
- Potential of some weekday and/or weekend OT
- Experience in the use of various hand tools such as screwdriver crimpers etc. but not limited to
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in manufacturing environment, assembly or casting preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in quality
- Desired experience in SAP and Windchill
- Ability to work with teams and deliver feedback to operators concerning identified issues
- Experience using computers Microsoft Office Suite and other web applications
- Ability and experience in reading interpreting engineering drawings and other related technical drawings and models
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Ability and willingness to climb ladders, stand/walk for long periods of time and lift heavy objects
- Understand and carry out oral and written instructions
- Work along of as a member of a team
- Initiative, teamwork, flexibility & attention to detail
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that allows them to work for ABB in the United States
