Position Overview
Reports to: Business Manager
- E2E
Leads a team of Supply Chain and Procurement Specialists to execute supply chain, procurement and logistics strategies that support the business by optimizing costs, quality, and reliability of suppliers and supplied products and services. Ensures execution in accordance with company and supply chain team instructions and procedures.
Core Responsibilities
- Implements effective supply chain and sourcing strategies in line with business strategy to ensure that suppliers have the capability and capacity to meet current and future business requirements.
- Ensures relevant parties understand strategies and execute processes accordingly and ensures alignment between local and global supply chain and procurement activities and division strategy.
- Implements programs to drive improvement in cost, quality, delivery, resilience, sustainability and integrity in accordance with group/business area supply chain and procurement guidelines and global division/business area objectives.
- Secures full utilization of the SAP Ariba platform according to the relevant procedure, both related to sharing supplier information and finding existing high-performing suppliers to ABB.
- Manages planning and tracking of supply chain and procurement activities, cost budgets, emerging country spending, and savings forecasts.
- Ensures Buyers minimize risk regarding quality and financial exposure by buying in accordance with quality and commercial procedures and company guidelines.
- Monitors the supply chain and procurement processes and activities, and resolves issues related to cost, quality, delivery, resilience, sustainability and integrity.
- Monitors and reports internal and supplier performance (Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)), quality issues, and development actions.
- Supports conformance to ABB procurement metrics.
- Leverages category teams locally, regionally, and globally to ensure appropriate supplier selection.
- Defines and establishes local standard agreements with all major local suppliers.
- Provides and maintains standard terms in purchase contracts/terms and conditions in line with company directives and guidelines.

- Implements and ensures compliance with the ABB code of conduct, global and local standards, tools, policies, and processes in their assigned area.
