This role sits within ABB's Robotics business, a leading global robotics company. We're entering an exciting new chapter as we've announced the plan for Soft Bank Group to acquire ABB Robotics. Soft Bank is a globally recognized technology group and investor/operator focused on AI, robotics, and next-generation computing. Location: ITOSB, Tuzla, Istanbul, Turkey

Responsibilities

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Develop and prepare robotic solution concepts for industrial picking/packing/palletizing operations collaborating with customers, partners and ABB colleagues
• Develop feasibility studies and simulations for robotic solutions
• Conduct customer meetings, presentations, and technical clarifications
• Build and maintain effective customer relationships, ensuring solution fit and customer satisfaction
• Prepare cost report and quotation for complete project concept design
• Manage concept designs and execute customer demo applications
• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the robots and associated equipment in their designated area of expertise e.g. handling process, picking/packing/palletizing applications etc.
• Analyze customer requirements and create value-driven proposal strategies
• Review all major deliverables (i.e. strategic brief, function spec, tech spec, etc.) to ensure quality standards and customer expectations are met

Qualifications

Mandatory

• University degree in Engineering (Mechatronic, Mechanic or Electric/Electronics)
• 10+ years of experience in automation, robotics, packaging or related business
• Process knowledge in disciplines such as material handling, picking/packing/palletizing, camera applications etc.
• High level of creativity and imagination, able to visualize solutions and translate customer needs into effective layouts and mechanisms
• Proficient command of written and spoken English
