Your role and responsibilities

  • In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact. This role is contributing to ABB's Electrification Distribution Solutions
  • Digital Systems in Australia and New Zealand.

The work model for the role is:Hybrid

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Selling digital solutions to customers, focusing on volume, mix, and profitability targets for the assigned divisions.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships (including customers’ Digital stakeholders) to understand customer their needs, promoting customer their understanding of full ABB’s complete product/systems/ services offering, and aligning with them to provide a solution.
  • Ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the sales process.
  • Preparing sales plans using company ABB authorized tools.

Qualifications for the role

  • Minimum 5 years’ proven experience in sales, business development, and strategic partnerships within complex, multi-stakeholder environments, with strong commercial and market awareness.
  • Exposure to, or willingness to develop knowledge of, medium-voltage switchgear, protection systems, or grid automation solutions, with the ability to coordinate technical tender submissions by acting as a key interface between the customer and internal tender teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, or engineering, or a related discipline, with postgraduate qualifications such as an MBA preferred.
  • Experience using CRM, pricing, or configuration tools to support pipeline tracking, forecasting, and commercial proposal development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Must be willing and able to travel frequently, with a flexible and hybrid office setup to support customer engagement and business requirements.
  • Must hold a current Australian driver’s licence.
