This Position reports to: IS Manager
We are building a modern, scalable global identity platform to support ABB Robotics' hybrid workforce across more than 50 countries and 150 sites. In this senior role, you will own the design, evolution, and operational excellence of our Identity & Access Management (IAM) landscape. You will combine strategic architectural leadership with hands‑on technical oversight to ensure secure, reliable, and compliant identity services.
The position is global and the preferred locations are Poland, India, Spain, Italy, Sweden and China.
Responsibilities
- Define and continuously evolve the enterprise IAM architecture across workforce identity, access governance, authentication, authorization, and the design/enforcement of RBAC/ABAC models
- Lead the implementation, integration, and operation of core IAM services including SSO, MFA, federation, Azure AD / Entra ID, on‑prem Active Directory, and Privileged Access Management (PAM)
- Ensure global IAM service reliability, performance, and security while meeting all audit, compliance, and governance requirements
- Own and optimize identity lifecycle processes (joiner/mover/leaver) and lead integrations with HR systems, ITSM platforms, cloud services, business applications, and expansion into customer/partner identity (CIAM)
- Provide senior technical leadership by coaching engineers and partners, offering direction, and ensuring quality across IAM initiatives
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in IAM, identity architecture, or security engineering
- Proven experience shaping enterprise IAM platforms in complex global environments
- Strong expertise in Azure AD / Entra ID and hybrid identity architectures
- Solid understanding of modern authentication and federation (SAML, OAuth, OIDC)
- Experience with IAM platforms (e.g., Okta, Keycloak, Sail Point)
- Strong grasp of security best practices, compliance, and audit readiness
- Ability to operate effectively at both architectural and operational levels
- Strong communication skills and stakeholder influence
