This Position reports to: R&D Department/Local Unit Lead
Work Model: Onsite
Location: Nashik, India
Division: Electrification business in Distribution Solution division
Your Role and Responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the strategic technology direction by contributing your own ideas for identifying, proposing, and implementing innovative technology, software and solutions. Each day, you will assist the Research and Development (R&D) team by executing your assigned tasks and using technical knowledge in a structured way. You will also showcase your expertise by staying abreast of the state of the art and actively applying this knowledge. In this role, you'll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Preparation of designs, drawings in CAD software
- Preparation of Bill of material and associated product procedures, instructions
- Circuit breaker parts, assemblies, kinematic chain concept development
- Ability to perform or understand static / dynamic simulations
- Perform/witness basic type testing according to applicable standards at local as well as outstation laboratories
- Lead development activities in collaboration with local factory team
- Design reviews in close communication with Project Manager, Team Lead and Technical Experts
- Collaboration with Global R&D teams on technical topics
- Collaboration with factory cross functional team on various topics i.e. Quality Assurance topics, SCM projects, Operation projects

Qualifications for the Role
- You are immersed in R&D function Switchgear Industry
- You have 2 to 4 years of experience in Design and Development of Indoor or Outdoor Circuit Breakers
- You have hands on experience in Circuit breaker kinematic chain and mechanism concept development, Preparation of designs, drawings, Bill or material and associated procedures
- Possess an enhanced knowledge of CAD (Pro-E or Creo or Solidworks) & PLM (Windchill)
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Metallurgy engineering (should be full-time)
- You are at ease communicating in English
