Position Overview

Reports to: Procurement Manager

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of long-term IMS category and sourcing strategies in company level
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to align priorities, understand challenges, and ensure successful implementation of IMS strategies
  • Negotiate agreements based on corporate contractual framework with suppliers, and periodically renew price lists, terms and conditions
  • Work for process improvements and system implementations, utilizing digital tools to make it easy to buy and always ensuring transparency and compliance
  • Build and manage an annual pipeline of strategic initiatives that deliver year-on-year savings and operational improvements
  • Collaborate with procurement teams and key users across functions to drive cost reductions and harmonize best practices
  • Ensure robust supplier management: performance tracking, innovation programs, risk mitigation and regular business reviews
  • Contribute to forecasting and budget planning by providing insights on purchasing trends and consumption patterns

License to Operate / Core Values

  • Ensure all staff (under scope) understand ABB's core values and group safety and integrity standards and act accordingly
  • Implement and ensure compliance with the ABB code of conduct, global and local standards, tools, policies, and processes in their assigned area
  • Ensure adherence to all internal and statutory regulations and policies pertaining to the teams in scope
  • Be accountable for the health and safety of all employees and contractors for the teams in scope, and continuous improvement in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) processes and integrity performance

Collaboration / Leadership

  • Promote and enable collaboration in the BL, across BLs, and teams to maximize results for ABB
  • Manage relationships with stakeholders in their own area of responsibility and ensure alignment
  • Ensure that your own area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled, and directed
  • Build effective, competent, and high-performing teams

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or above
  • More than 5 years of procurement work experience
  • Familiar with indirect procurement work in factories and have rich experience in manufacturing
  • Rich supplier resources and strong negotiation skills
  • Fluent in English reading and writing, able to communicate orally
  • Team management experience preferred
