This role is contributing to the Excitation Team in Pilsen EUOPC.

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as the technical lead for all engineering activities in assignments. Each day, you will ensure the activities related to all engineering disciplines within the project are executed in an efficient and cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by acting as a design authority for a particular engineering discipline and completing the corresponding engineering assignments.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Contributing to cost-efficiency initiative success with specific focus on key system components optimization – to identify a clear target in K $
• Reporting to: System Standardization Initiative Leader or SCM Initiative Leader
• Evaluating, promoting and improving designs for cost-effectiveness, manufacturing improvements, increased quality, and value of released products and systems (not part of gate processes and product development)
• Implementing the value engineering strategy and system standardization vision
• Identifying and driving cost reduction initiatives with system standards, supply chain, and operations, defining and maintaining the project schedule for assigned cost reduction programs, monitor progress, and drive execution
• Recommending design/components reviews to meet production requirements for products or processes including developing test plans, coordinating engineering document changes
• Leading Value Analysis and Value Engineering projects with production and execution team
• Developing modular portfolio/Standardization of part families to support Engineering teams and exploring new cost-effective technologies and sources with Sourcing team
• Collaborating suppliers to find cost-effective materials or processes, identify cost drivers and propose alternatives

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Excitation Systems or Power Electrical components and engineering/system
• Proven experience in Value Analysis/Value Engineering, design and cost optimization
• Proven experience in cost modeling / should costing and explore new cost effective technologies and sources
• CAD and CAE software experiences
• Solid PC skills with knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook
• Fluent English with demonstrated oral and written communication skills in a globally spread organization with different functions
• Current country specific VISA/work permit
