Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to purchase materials according to required technical specifications, price, delivery schedule, and terms. Each day, you will ensure purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying new suppliers in cooperation with the relevant category team.

The work model for the role is:

This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions division in San Luis Potosi.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Initiating Purchase Orders in the system, according to the purchase requisitions and in alignment with standard procedures, and confirming delivery with suppliers, monitoring, and tracking supplier performance to PO requirements.

• Negotiating agreements with main suppliers, and periodically renews price lists and terms and conditions.

• Recommending material planning and delivery methods with suppliers.

• Analyzing and evaluating bids to determine the optimal value.

• Participating in weekly meetings with multidisciplinary teams within business to show KPIs and RCA.

• Supporting and coaching Jr buyers in activities related to critical materials to prevent risks in production line

• Qualifications for the role

• Bachelors Degree Industrial Engineering or Similar Engineering

• 5+ Years experience in Purchasing direct materials (Metalmechanics and electrical)

• Negotiation experience with international suppliers.

• Knowledge in RCA or Lean tools (peferred)

• Advanced English

• SAP Knowledge
