This Position reports to:

Service Manager

ABB's Mining and Materials Systems team delivers solutions and services ensuring our customers get the most out of their investment. Our Mining and Materials solutions help improve safety and productivity of the mines while reducing maintenance and energy costs. Deep domain knowledge enables us to truly understand and address our customers’ challenges and opportunities.

Our Mining and Materials Service Team supports customers with their ABB mining and hoisting systems and solutions throughout North America. Our customers operate 24x7 and rely on ABB to support from installation and initial start-up, through to life-cycle services to maximize the availability of the solutions provided by ABB and optimize their operations.

In this role, you will oversee the delivery of Service projects and ABB Customer Care Agreements within North America Mining and Materials Service our customer are largely in Canada and in some cases in the USA and Mexico.

Reporting to the North American Service Manager you will maintain and enhance customer satisfaction by ensuring that customer requirements and all targets are met, providing excellent service at every stage of the customer orders.

Your Role: Own the Challenge

• Managing the development of customer service order planning documents
• Monitoring customer service orders to ensure best practices in cost control, resource efficiency and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
• Analyzing and addressing project risks, and regularly disseminating lessons learned
• Working with other functions to coordinate contract negotiations and claims with customers
• Work closely with the ABB Account Managers to identify new opportunities.
• Prepare quotes and implement contract changes based on customer requests.
• Achieving service order deliverables and compliance with contract requirements
• Coordinate project team effort including engineering, testing, site work activities and sub-contractors.
• Review status, monitor, analyze and report on contract performance.
• Building strong relationships with customers and stakeholders

What it takes to run what runs the world

• At minimum of five (5) years of experience managing industrial control systems and electrical apparatus projects.
• Experience in industrial and/or utilities markets is required.
• Demonstrated experience in management of project scope, cost, financial analysis, schedules and vendors/subcontractors.
• A collaborative, solution-focused approach, and strong written and spoken communication skills
• Engineering Degree or Technology Diploma
• Project Management PMP designation is desired
• Fluent in French and English Required
• Strong computer skills – SAP or other ERP, Microsoft Suite including; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project.

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant’s qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $92,625 and $135,850 annually.
