Business Development Manager – Motion Division, Brazil
Role Mission
Are you passionate about business development and eager to join a global company transforming the industry with cutting‑edge technology? ABB is seeking a Business Development Manager to join our Motion division in Brazil. If you have experience in sales and business development within the renewable energy sector — especially in utility‑scale solar PV, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), green hydrogen, and wind service solutions — and are ready to take on strategic challenges, this role is for you!
Reports To
Sales Manager
Responsibilities
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments in Brazil's renewable energy landscape.
- Develop and execute go‑to‑market strategies aligned with ABB's global positioning.
- Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities in solar PV, BESS, green hydrogen, and wind turbine service markets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with EPCs, developers, IPPs, O&M partners, OEMs, and utilities.
- Lead the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract execution.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reporting.
- Collaborate with engineering, project management, and service teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Represent Brazil in interactions with global business lines and provide continuous insights to management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Extensive experience in sales or business development.
- Experience working in the renewable energy sector with EPCs, utilities, and IPPs in Brazil.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship‑building skills.
- Fluent in English.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of local regulatory frameworks and grid codes.
