Your Role and Responsibilities

The Field Application Engineer (Vertriebsingenieur) markets complex technical products and convinces customers with deep technical expertise and pronounced sales knowledge in the field of switchgear construction. The FAE provides practical and individual solutions for our customers and assists in planning technical products such as low-voltage main distribution boards including the selection of appropriate switching and protective devices such as circuit breakers. The FAE works in close coordination with account managers and customers.

You are primarily responsible for:

• Technical sales and liaison between ABB product solutions and customers
• Technical consulting, planning and support with ABB products and systems
• On-demand training at customer sites
• Conversion of competitive products for offer preparation
• Market observation for specific solutions in the specialist field and corresponding support of segments and product marketing for new and further developments

Qualifications

• Master in electrical engineering / technician / electrical or business engineer
• Sales experience
• Knowledge of electrical installation
• Very good German language skills, basic English knowledge
