This Position reports to:
- Supply Chain Manager

In this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure the implementation, maintenance, and compliance of the purchasing and logistics-related activities in the Procurement function to support the businesses. Each day, you will execute assigned activities as per ABB standard procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by delivering and participating in training programs as required to ensure compliance and to foster professional development.
The work model for the role is: Onsite
This role is contributing to the Motion Traction Division in North America.
You will be mainly accountable for:

Executing purchasing and logistics strategies to support the business by optimizing costs, quality, and reliability of suppliers and supplied products.

Designing and implementing plans and effective strategies for local sourcing of products/materials to reach business targets.

Initiating purchase orders according to the purchase requisitions and in alignment with standard procedures.

Leading quick action of supply issues related to supplier deliveries (on-time delivery, quality, lead time), product non-conformities, and resolution of claims for business continuity

Qualifications for the role
- Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, SAP Experience, relevant tools and methodologies, working experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). and the relevant experience in Electrical industry/manufacturing sector
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing purchasing department field.
- Experience in Supply management and quality processes, experience working with projects, contract law, commercial terms, standard procurement procedures and related Company policies.
- Capacity to maintain partnerships with internal and external collaborators.
- Bachelor's Degree and minimum 3 years of experience or Master's Degree and minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing purchasing department
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
