About the Role

This Position reports to: R&D Department/Local Unit Lead

You will work closely with R&D development teams, NA lab teams and external clients to provide testing and verification of low voltage and medium voltage electrical distribution equipment. You will also be responsible for testing with equipment includes switchgear, motor control centers, outdoor breakers, reclosers and cutouts.

The work model for the role is: Onsite

Responsibilities

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Support R&D teams to develop type test strategies and detail test plans for new products
• Lead and manages complex testing projects to validate new designs and modifications in a collaborative team environment
• Motivate and coordinate internal and/or external resources to accomplish tasks and milestones required to complete testing projects
• Ensure retention of ISO 17025 and UL CTDP accreditations and grow the scope of accreditation to support client demand
• Build, develop, and maintain trust-based relationships with internal (other R&D units, product management, operations, business management) and external (customers, standardization bodies, universities, etc.) contacts

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree; electrical/mechanical engineering preferred
• 5+ years electrical engineering experience
• Working knowledge of IEEE standards, UL standards and ISO 17025 standard
• Experienced in planning, leading and executing technical projects
• Demonstrated presentation/influence skills
• Strong interpersonal skills required to achieve cooperation and reach agreement with internal and external customers and suppliers
