Position Overview

Reports to: Commercial Solutions Manager

Work Model: Onsite (partial remote possible)

You will be part of the Commercial Solutions team in ABB Motion's High Power division and report to the Commercial Solutions Manager for ABB Motion's Motion High Power Division.

About the Role

Commercial Solutions within ABB Motion's High Power Division aims to deliver superior customer experience through sales tools, processes, and master data. The overall objective is to improve self-service for our customers and increase the efficiency of our sales organization, covering the entire sales process (select, configure, price, quote, order).

As the Global Digital Excellence Manager – Commercial Solutions, you will drive the digital transformation of ABB Motion's High Power Division. Your primary mission is to deliver superior customer experience and enhance sales organization efficiency by optimizing the entire sales process (select, configure, price, quote, order). Moreover, you will be responsible for driving sales intelligence into our organization. You will bring a rapid-scaling mindset to a large multinational environment, taking ownership of the implementation, utilization, and adoption of new commercial solutions across our Local Sales and Service Units (LSSUs). By collaborating with cross-functional teams (Sales, IS, R&D), you will lead change management efforts that transform how we sell and serve our customers globally.

Key Responsibilities

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Digital Transformation & Adoption: Driving strategic alignment of digital sales initiatives with business objectives, ensuring harmonized commercial solutions, optimized user journeys, and a clear implementation roadmap supported by continuous user‑driven improvements.

  • Value Realization & Performance: Defining ambitions and tracking mechanisms, overseeing global marketing and sales dashboards, and applying robust analytics to measure value creation, ROI, and the effectiveness of go‑to‑market strategies.

  • Change Management: Leading structured project delivery, solution lifecycle management, and cultural transformation efforts while serving as the primary contact for LSSUs and coordinating enablement activities to ensure successful adoption of new solutions.

  • Team & Stakeholder Management: Managing and developing a multi-functional team while building strong, trust-based relationships with key stakeholders across the organization to support seamless execution of commercial transformation initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in digital transformation and/or sales tools
  • Strong knowledge of customer journeys, related sales tools and processes in a complex B2B sales environment
  • Professional certifications in Project Management and Change Management (e.g., PMP), SAFe is plus
  • Experience in consulting, customer engagement, project management and digital solution implementation is preferred
  • Good understanding of agile methodologies, industrial sales process and digital development process
  • Experience working in ABB Motion High Power industries (or closely related) is a significant plus
  • Advanced stakeholder management skills with a proven ability to influence without authority, navigating resistance in a decentralized / matrix organization
  • Solid background in change management, exceptional ability to drive buy‑in, proactive approach and independent working style
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully managing cross-functional and cross-cultural teams and projects in a matrix environment
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate progress and updates to stakeholders at all levels in the organization
  • Passionate about identifying opportunities, build business cases, and delivering business value through digitalization
  • Fluent English language skills
