Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and maintain an effective Energy Industries sales strategy within the Southeast Asia (SEA) regional market scope, to improve ABB's market presence and realize growth aspirations.

Each day, you will define, plan, lead, and ensure the execution of sales strategies to meet both qualitative and quantitative sales targets for products, systems, and services, ensuring sustainable order growth, revenue, profitability, market share, sales productivity, and customer satisfaction.

You will showcase your leadership skills by directing, developing, and coaching the Sales organization (sales managers and specialists within scope) to meet sales targets through effective team management.

Main Accountability Areas

  • Anticipate and identify shortfalls in performance and take appropriate remedial actions strategically
  • Identify and evaluate new opportunities with existing and potential customers, determining plans for implementation, and allocating required resources
  • Plan and execute customer surveys and act on the survey results to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Participate in the negotiation of key contracts and manage high-value tendering processes
  • Manage and mentor an effective sales team, promote collaboration, and ensure accountability to fulfill strategic objectives

Qualifications for the Role

  • Highly skilled in structured sales processes and Salesforce CRM
  • Deep knowledge of the Energy Industries market
  • 10–15 years of experience in Energy Industries
  • Minimum of 5 years in senior front-end sales leadership for automation, control, and digital solutions
  • Demonstrated experience in team leadership and people development, with effective ability to build and manage efficient teams
  • Advanced knowledge of ICSS, PMS, SCADA, Telecommunication, and Digital Solutions
  • Committed to strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement, negotiation, leadership, and team management

Leadership Qualities

  • Skilled decision-making ability and emotional intelligence
  • Readiness to manage both expected and unexpected situations
  • Professionalism and capability to inspire and motivate teams toward reaching goals
  • Degree in Engineering or Business; MBA preferred
  • Comfortable communicating in English and additional ASEAN languages
  • Valid work permit/VISA for the ASEAN region (where required)
