Key responsibilities

In this key role, you assume a leading function as a business partner for our Local Division Process Industries Germany. You hold disciplinary and technical responsibility for the controlling and order handling team and make a significant contribution to financial management and the sustainable development of the business. In addition to your management responsibility, you are operationally involved in day-to-day business controlling and actively support the business controllers. Through your analytical strengths, strategic foresight, and proximity to operational business, you enable well-founded management decisions and comprehensively assess action options. With your deep technical expertise and leadership competence, you develop sustainable, economically viable business solutions and actively drive the technical and personal development of your team.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Close collaboration with Local Division and Local Business Line Management as a central business partner for defining and implementing business strategy as well as managing the business planning and forecasting process. You ensure high quality of financial data and business information – always in line with defined standards and deadlines.

  • Active operational involvement in day-to-day business controlling activities, including analysis, assessment, and commentary on business development.

  • Identification, assessment, and transparent communication of financial opportunities and risks, as well as derivation and tracking of appropriate measures for performance and risk management.

  • Continuous development and optimization of controlling, project assessment, and order processing processes to sustainably increase efficiency, quality, and transparency.

  • Leadership, development, and enablement of team members, promotion of best practices in controlling, and ensuring uniform implementation of global guidelines and standards.

  • Active stakeholder management as well as communication and support for the global organization to ensure a transparent information base and reliable decision-making foundations.

You will join an engaged and competent team, where you will be able to assume responsibility both strategically and operationally and actively develop your team.

Qualifications for the role

  • You have a completed degree in accounting, finance, or business administration.

  • You have several years of experience in a finance or controlling function with sound knowledge of business controlling, project controlling, financial analysis, and strategic planning.

  • You bring a pronounced understanding of collaboration and leadership – ideally with initial experience in leading and coordinating teams or technical leadership.

  • You have a pronounced attention to detail, a high degree of accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in parallel.

  • Your work style is characterized by a cooperative, solution-oriented approach and excellent communication skills both in writing and speech.

  • You communicate fluent in German and English and can convey complex matters clearly and precisely.
