This Position reports to: Project Operations Manager

Your Responsibilities

You will act as the responsible engineer for projects with different levels of complexity:

  • Engineering discipline leader on small projects or portions of larger projects
  • Complete engineering assignments efficiently and cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements
  • Engineering development of protection relays and control systems
  • Program project-specific applications efficiently and meet customer requirements, ensuring proper functionality and interfacing to other systems
  • Carry out acceptance testing (FAT and SAT) of Protection and Control systems in cooperation with other colleagues and customers, following the health and safety regulations
  • Create and review technical customer documentation for your projects
  • Participate in the commissioning of the application on customer sites

This position offers you excellent opportunities to develop as an expert in protection and control products and systems.

Qualifications for the Role

  • Diploma in a technical field, preferably in Electrical or Automation
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree is considered a plus
  • Good general working knowledge on HMIs, PLCs and I/Os, preferably with ABB products, as well on Windows-based operating systems
  • Understanding of control system topologies and communication protocols
  • Work well both independently and as a part of a team
  • Seek solutions actively, instead of focusing on problems
  • Comfortable with interaction with both customers and other ABB teams as an important part of this job
  • At ease communicating in Italian and have a good command of English
  • Willingness to travel is required to some extent, to ensure successful completion of the delivery projects
