About the Role
This position reports to the Global Bid & Proposal Manager and is part of the Electrification Smart Power division, Critical Power Product Group.
You will have the opportunity to develop Technical/Commercial Tenders for mainly Power Train Unit (PTU) globally, but not necessarily be limited to only PTU. This will require an in-depth understanding of ABB's Critical Power product offering and potential solutions.
The work model for this role is Hybrid, with preferred living locations in Europe.
Responsibilities
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Manage tenders, risk reviews, and ensure proposals for PTU are timely, competitive, and profitable using ABB tools and databases
- Lead the design and development of PTU solutions for data centers and/or other mission critical applications, including medium and low voltage distribution, medium and low voltage UPS systems and others
- Implement proactive promotional activities, including technical presentations, demonstrations, seminars, educational material, and technical development of projects and solutions for the customer target group
- Interpret technical documentation to align with design intent and provide applications engineering support to customers and sales teams
- Collaborate across internal teams and vendor partners to develop executable proposals, negotiate effectively, and leverage ABB's full product portfolio
- Ensure compliance with customer requirements and government contracting standards while proactively seeking training to enhance commercial operations capabilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related field
- Experience working in the electrical distribution industry; data center experience is preferred
- 10+ years of experience required
- Previous project engineering, quotations, contract negotiation or technical sales experience preferred
- More than 5 years of PTU solutions experience required
- UPS & Critical Power systems experience is a plus
