ABB Global Discovery Early Talent Program

  • Marketing and Sales

About ABB

At ABB, we help industries outrun - leaner and cleaner. Here, progress is an expectation - for you, your team, and the world. As a global market leader, we'll give you what you need to make it happen. It won't always be easy, growing takes grit. But at ABB, you'll never run alone. Run what runs the world.

Position Overview

Reports to: Product Marketing Director (부장)

  • As a participant in the Global Discovery Early Talent Program
  • Marketing and Sales track, you will assume hands-on responsibilities from day one. The exceptional colleagues you collaborate with, the challenging projects you undertake, and the global scope of our business will provide you with the experience necessary to build a world-class career in this field. In this extended engagement, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the organization's strategic objectives. Your expertise and experience will be leveraged to ensure continuity in product marketing excellence and technical leadership within the Electrification Distribution Solutions Division.

Your Mission

You will be part of a 24-month rotational program designed to enhance your skills in inside sales, marketing, leadership, and ABB product knowledge. Your rotations will be within the Electrification business area. You will also participate in a June orientation alongside other Discovery Program participants. This global initiative is tailored for early talent training, personal and professional growth, and networking opportunities.

The program consists of three assignments in different roles:

  • First 6 Months: An assignment in your home country to introduce you to the business, complete with relevant KPIs.
  • Second 6 Months: An assignment abroad to gain insights into ABB's operations in a different environment and role, allowing you to work on an exciting project with a new team, thereby expanding your network and learning curve.
  • Last 12 Months: An assignment back in your home country or business, where you will deepen your understanding of the business and your division, preparing for your final position.

Throughout the program, participants will engage in leadership competency development, a learning journey, and technical courses to enhance their skills. We encourage and support you to step outside your comfort zone to develop your leadership, management, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement product marketing strategies aligned with global standards for the assigned area/segment, ensuring clear communication of product value propositions and positioning.
  • Monitor progress toward product marketing targets and budgets, introducing improvement plans as necessary.
  • Gain deep market insights through continuous meetings with End Users, Channels, and System Integrators, and collaborate closely with factories and global teams to develop marketing strategies tailored to the specific market.
  • Work with the assigned product scope covering the entire Electrification Distribution Solutions portfolio, specifically including Grid Components such as vacuum circuit breakers, vacuum interrupters (VI), current and voltage transformers (CT/PT), UFES, Is-Limiter, and intelligent electronic devices (IEDs).
