This role sits within ABB's Robotics business, a leading global robotics company. We're entering an exciting new chapter as we've announced the plan for Soft Bank Group to acquire ABB Robotics. This position reports to: Supply Chain Manager

This is a hybrid work opportunity, based in Auburn Hills, MI.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support regional/global sourcing initiatives either under the leadership of a regional/global Category Manager or independently if under a defined threshold. You will communicate with vendors on the commercial side, discussing pricing, payment terms, etc. Will ensure purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute strategies to optimize cost, quality, and supplier reliability for products and materials
• Design and implement effective local sourcing strategies to achieve business targets and future requirements
• Lead cost-saving projects to meet budget requirements and maintain competitive pricing for ABB Robotics products
• Develop and implement strategies to minimize the impact of tariffs through supplier diversification, regional sourcing, and cost optimization initiatives
• Apply and maintain procurement tools, processes, and standards to ensure compliance and performance in quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability
• Collaborate with global and local category teams to ensure sourcing strategies meet business needs

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.

Focus on Supply Chain preferred:

• 5+ years experience with procurement sourcing, new vendors launch, local sourcing for tariff tasks related, new project introduction to the USA factory
• Previous experience in technical sourcing, mechanical procurement in global companies
• Preferred working experience with SAP or other equivalent ERP systems
