Position Overview

Position Mission

Are you passionate about technical sales, product promotion, and strategic customer engagement in a highly specialized market? ABB is looking for a Sales Manager with Key Account responsibilities to lead and expand its Critical Power business in Brazil, in Electrification division. In this strategic role, you will drive market development, promote ABB's UPS and critical power solutions, and ensure sustainable growth through strong customer relationships, contract management, and cross-functional collaboration. This position requires a fairly good understanding of contracts and framework agreements, close interaction with Legal and internal stakeholders, and the ability to assess risks and opportunities to support sound business decisions.

Your Responsibilities

  • Define and execute sales strategies for the Critical Power portfolio in the Brazilian market, with strong focus on key markets
  • Personally manage and develop Brazilian Key Accounts and possibly a few LATAM Key Accounts
  • Identify, develop, and manage new and existing business opportunities with end users, contractors, integrators, and channel partners
  • Lead negotiations of key contracts and framework agreements, working closely with Legal and internal teams to assess risks and ensure compliance
  • Monitor sales performance against targets, proactively identifying gaps and implementing corrective actions to ensure volume, mix, and profitability
  • Support pricing strategies in collaboration with Product Management, ensuring competitiveness while protecting margins
  • Drive customer satisfaction initiatives, including customer surveys, and translate feedback into actionable improvements
  • Monitor customer financial status and identify potential commercial, contractual, or cybersecurity-related risks
  • Promote collaboration across Sales, Product Management, Legal, and other ABB divisions to maximize results
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of sales processes, tools, CRM (Salesforce), and related training activities
  • Prepare the organization for future growth, with potential responsibility for leading and structuring the sales team

Your Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred) or equivalent technical education
  • Solid experience in technical sales, business development, or market development
  • Proven experience with Critical Power solutions, including UPS systems and related technologies
  • Strong experience engaging with end users, EPCs, contractors, and system integrators
  • Knowledge of UPS contracts and framework agreements, with ability to identify and manage commercial and contractual risks
  • Experience using CRM tools (Salesforce) to manage pipeline, forecasts, and customer data
  • Fluent in English, with good oral and written communication skills

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of large industrial segments such as Mining, Pulp & Paper, and Food & Beverage
  • Experience in roles with strong product promotion and go-to-market responsibilities
