Position Overview

• Reports to: Planning & Fulfillment Manager
• Location: Onsite
• Division: Distribution Solutions division in China
• Work Model: Onsite

Your Role and Responsibilities

Import and Export Customs Declaration Management

• Responsible for customs declaration, inspection, and preparation of relevant documents
• Accurately maintain customs declaration related data in GTS/JIT system, update relevant data timely
• Ensure the authenticity, completeness, and accuracy of declaration information for smooth customs clearance
• Maintain business information ledger, ensuring the integrity and traceability of electronic customs documents
• Coordinate and handle logistics and customs affairs related to the processing and trade
• Interface with Customs on related matters

Product Classification

• Proficient in product classification according to customs requirements
• Classify products based on product technical parameters to ensure correct HS Code declaration
• Ensure customs classification compliance with classification procedure requirements

Logistics Process Coordination

• Follow up with the implementation of solutions to abnormal issues with customs brokers
• Responsible for assessment of customs brokers' KPIs
• Coordinate with logistics suppliers and follow up with customs clearance and transportation status
• Coordinate issues during transportation
• Optimize logistics plans and ensure timely and safe delivery of goods to designated locations

Import and Export Policies and Regulations

• Follow up on import and export policies and regulations
• Cooperate with the Trade Compliance Department to promote training and implementation of relevant policies and procedures
• Pay attention to changes in import and export trade policies and customs regulations
• Provide customs risk warning and response suggestions for compliant operation of import and export business

Data Analysis and Improvement

• Responsible for collecting and analyzing data related to customs affairs
• Provide decision support and improvement suggestions
• Promote improvement projects related to customs and customs affairs

Additional Customs Responsibilities

• Handle export certificates of origin issued by customs
• Declare franchise fees and other consulting or handling business with customs on a quarterly basis

Material Reconciliation and Taxation

• Reconciliation of imported materials daily
• Handle summary and taxation related procedures
• Timely and accurately pay taxes and other import and export related expenses

Purchase Order Management

• Transfer Purchase Requisition to Purchase Order, including local and imported materials
• Follow up purchasing order acknowledgement
• Ensure materials on-time delivery
• Focus on suppliers' delivery timeliness and push suppliers to improve continuously
• Cooperate with planning engineer to reschedule purchase orders
• Negotiate with suppliers to push in or push out PO delivery
• Handle Non-Compliance Material timely and push suppliers to resolve as soon as possible

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above
• Major in international economics and trade preferred, with solid foundation of professional knowledge
• 1~2 years of buyer and customs clearance experience
• Familiar with import and export customs clearance processes
• Practical operational experience preferred
• Experience in import and export operations, processing trade and manual maintenance or customs clearance agencies preferred
• Proficient in using China International Trade Single Window/ERP system
• Certain English reading and writing skills and ability to handle English customs documents
• Proficient in using Excel, Word, etc.
• Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to establish good communication with customs and cooperate smoothly with internal and external parties
• Work conscientiously and responsibly
• Strong learning ability
• Strong legal and risk control awareness
