Position Overview

As ABB Motion continues its transition toward a more agile and globally aligned organization, the HR Business Partner (HRBP) for Business Line China, Drive Products plays a key role in enabling business success through strategic and operational people leadership. Partnering closely with the Business Line Manager and leadership team, the role drives the implementation of the ABB People Strategy and Division People Priorities in alignment with the Business Line strategy and ABB values. As a trusted advisor and coach, the HRBP supports capability and leadership development, strategic workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, change management, and culture transformation. The role is instrumental in building high-performing, engaged, and resilient teams, ensuring the organization is structured and resourced to deliver sustainable and profitable growth. Upholding ABB's Core Values, integrity, and safety, the HRBP leads effective HR operations together with one local HRBP, working in close collaboration with Motion Beijing Site HR and ABB HR functions and Co Es to deliver a consistent employee experience across the Business Line.

Responsibilities

  • Define Business Line People Priorities aligned with Business Line Business Strategy & Division People Priorities, while focusing on development of strategic capabilities and improving business productivity
  • Lead HR priorities and execution within the Business Line focusing on talent management, organizational capabilities and design, workforce planning, and inclusive and customer-led innovation culture
  • Act as an advisor and coach to the Business Line Manager and leadership team on people priorities and related topics and projects, fostering understanding of organizational needs and developing enablers that support the organization in delivering on defined priorities and building a value-driven culture
  • Facilitates and enables the success of change management initiatives by driving behavioral change and continuous improvement
  • Converts data and analysis to digestible information that the business can use to take data-informed decisions
  • Ensure compliance with local legislation and ABB integrity standards

Qualifications

  • Min 10 years of experience in HR Leadership positions with strong business acumen and ability to influence across businesses and functions
  • Strong understanding of talent management and workforce planning, change management, compensation & benefits, and strategic & organizational capability development
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication, collaborations and stakeholder management skills
  • Data driven mindset
  • Fluency in both Mandarin Chinese and English is required
  • Candidates must hold a valid authorization to work in China
