The AV Safety Software Engineer will play a critical role in supporting Zoox’s behavioral safety and operational validation efforts.

In this position, you will work with large-scale fleet and simulation data to identify, analyze, and triage events related to Rules of the Road compliance and Reputational Risk monitoring.

You will be part of the Safety Strategy and Operations (SSO) team, operationalizing defined requirements through data-driven analyses, dashboards, and workflow automation.

While focused on execution – developing queries, running analyses, triaging events, and delivering actionable insights – this role also supports data analysis for requirement development, providing critical inputs to SSO’s process.

The ideal candidate can translate complex behavioral signals from large-scale datasets into clear insights, build tools to streamline analytics workflows, and leverage AI tools to scale event review and triage.

You will help ensure Zoox’s autonomous vehicles continue to operate safely and reliably, while providing clarity and actionable intelligence across the organization.
