Zillow Home Loans (ZHL) is part of Zillow’s mission to simplify home buying and financing. The Insurance team ensures accurate, compliant homeowners’ insurance documentation to support on-time closings and protect customers and investors. You’ll work closely with Underwriting, Processing, Closing, and India-based teams to streamline operations and improve the customer experience.

About the role

This role leads day-to-day Insurance operations, with a focus on managing and developing a high-performing India-based team. You’ll oversee insurance workflows across the mortgage lifecycle, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant execution.

You’ll use data and metrics to drive performance, improve processes, and partner cross-functionally to deliver strong quality and customer outcomes. This is a key role in scaling a critical function that supports loan quality and seamless closings.

Working Arrangement

• Location: Bangalore, India

• Schedule: 4 days onsite, 1 day remote

• Shift: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach, and develop an Insurance operations team

• Oversee insurance verification, documentation, and workflow execution

• Monitor SLAs, quality, and performance metrics

• Partner with cross-functional teams (Underwriting, Closing, Compliance, etc.)

• Drive process improvements and maintain SOPs

• Manage vendor and partner relationships

This role has been categorized as an Office position. “Office” employees regularly work at the Zillow India office for approximately 80 to 100 percent of their time each month. Employees must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the office. Zillow has not defined a reasonable distance, and expects employees will use judgment in determining this for themselves and understand the implications re: time commitment and cost of daily commute.

In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role are eligible for incentive compensation subject to applicable laws and relevant Zillow policies. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Who you are

• 4–6+ years in mortgage or insurance operations, with team leadership experience

• Strong knowledge of homeowners’ insurance in mortgage lending

• Data-driven, with experience managing KPIs and performance

• Effective communicator with experience working across global teams

• Comfortable in fast-paced, evolving environments

Preferred

• Experience with India/offshore teams

• Knowledge of hazard/flood insurance and mortgage regulations

• Background in Fin Tech or high-growth environments
